Wildfire preparedness
Home › Wildfire preparedness
Fire season is part of life in the pines. The good news is that there's free help here: local fire departments offer free property assessments, and a local group teaches neighborhoods how to clear brush and protect their homes. Please also sign up for the county's emergency alerts, listed on the Emergency numbers page.
5 listings, in no particular order. Everything here comes from each listing's own website or a public resource page, and I've linked it under each one so you can check it yourself.

A little gift for your fridge
I made a one-page "Who to Call" sheet: the public help numbers for the Quad Cities, a short before-you-hire checklist, and space to write in your own trusted plumber, handyman and helpers.
You can download it right away. After that I'll send a few short emails over the next two weeks (checking a contractor's license, scams to hang up on, free rides, home safety), then an occasional note when something useful comes up. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and I never share your address.
